Do you offer delivery?
Yes! Most of my customers collect from me directly (SE23 1EY) but for those further afield I work with a dedicated cake courier service who will deliver your cake safe and sound. They deliver to London and the surrounding areas. Let me know if you'd like a quote for delivery.
Do you have a food hygiene certificate?
Yes, I have a full Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering certificate.
Are all your ingredients completely vegan?
Absolutely. As a passionate vegan myself, I completely understand how important it is to only use the right ingredients. My partner is not vegan, therefore I have to say "may contain traces of milk and dairy" in case a customer has a severe allergy.
Are your cakes gluten-free?
Rach’s Best Bakes are made using regular plain flour, so are not suitable for gluten free customers.
Do your cakes contain nuts?
Only if you choose peanut butter or vegan Nutella buttercream. I use soya milk not almond milk. However, my kitchen is not suitable for severe nut allergy sufferers.
How do you cover your cakes?
I love using vegan buttercream frosting. It looks beautiful and fresh, can be creatively designed, and (lest we forget) it's absolutely delicious! However I am happy to cover your cake in fondant if you prefer. I use fondant to make figures and specific details.
Do you make non-vegan cakes?
I'm afraid not. But trust me, no one will come away from one of my cakes saying "I wish it had eggs and dairy in it!"
